More pictures from California...

Or why Mark is a better photographer than me...

Mark and I met for lunch this past Saturday & Mark brought along a small photo album of the trip. Looking at the pictures reminded me that Mark had taken some really great shots while we were in San Francisco. I thought you might want to see some of them.

Sometimes I get tired and have to sit for a moment...This time I just happened to get tired while inspecting a cell in Alkatraz...

This picture was taken on the way to the coast,. We had a very foggy morning, but as we started the climb over the mountains, the fog started to lift and we could see below...

Josh started to act up, so I straightened out his attitude a little...

Then we decided that there was no time like the present for a GUN SHOW...

Then we were having so much fun that we decided to fly kites...

Enjoy & if you really like these shots, give all of the credit to Mark...

Celebrity Sighting

Just before Easter, Stephanie sent pictures of the girls getting ready for the prom. I was not surprised by all of the pictures filled with pretty girls, I mean...just look at the gene pool. What really surprised me was that Katherine Heigl showed up to help them get ready. I knew that the McMurdo's West knew a lot of people, but a movie star? Wow, have you guys been holding out on us. Next time you have Katherine over for dinner, I expect to get an invitation.

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter!

The big question just got answered.

Yes, the Easter Bunny still visits after your 18th birthday. :) I'm sure you can imagine the relief for those already there and those well on their way.

Everybody is getting ready to head to church. I'm not sure what will follow, but I think a lazy family day at home.

We're thinking of you and wishing you all a very happy day!

We love you.

Things you should know #1

Constant Comment tea from Bigelow makes really good iced tea. This is a tea that mom and I have been drinking for years, but I just discovered that the spicy orange taste is really good cold!

Definitely a Boy!

Yesterday afternoon, I recieved a very nice email from Holger. With his permission, I am going to put it here for all of you to see along with some pictures of Little Schneider.

In his email, Holger references his sister in-law Silke. Silke is Katies younger sister and all I can tell you from the one time I met her, she is a bundle of energy.

Holger's email:

Hi Sir,

we had our medical check yesterday and it seems that our son is in very good condition. Doc said he has a heartbeat like an Elephant, strong and consistant - so everything is okay again. Katie has eaten two bananas a day in minimum and also a lot of dried pieches in the last past weeks - and it worked out. Look at the pictures attached (it's definately a son). Unfortunately he has laid in bad position. We've tried 3 times to make him change and Katie has to go downstairs several times and back but our son didn't think to change his position. On one picture with his finger at his head it seems to me that he thought we were kidding him. It was so amazing, I can't tell. Silke was with us as well and she also couldn't believe what she saw. Half an hour ago Katies mom was here and I showed her the video tape. And never saw so big eyes on her. I think I have to find a way to digitalize (correct?) this and send it over as well. All for today. I'll let you know more about our meeting a little later. Anyway I have sent out the CD with all presentations last week as promised, so I hope you will get it in the next days. The protocol will follow as soon as I have it. Give Jodi a big hug.

Cheers

Holger

The Winter Lion

Winter went out like a lion this year. On Friday afternoon and most of the day Saturday we had a blizzard and got a total of 15 inches. Got to love the weather in Ohio.

Meet Schyler!

The PC bugs are working against me on this one. I'm going to try one last time.

Here is a picture of Schyler and he is also a great, great nephew of mine. He was born around Thanksgiving and this is the first picture that I've seen of him.

He is the son of my great niece Lindsay. They live in Idaho. He is the grandson of my nephew John and the great grandson of Uncle Eddie.

My newest great, great nephew (and Hannah)

As you know, Uncle Edward is in CA this week on his 80th birthday trip. I got a call from him a few days ago and learned that I'm a new great, great aunt again. Your second cousin and my great nephew and his wife had a baby boy. His name is Jacob Aiden and I wanted to post a picture for you to see. I just love the look on Hannah's face - look what I have!

Just to refresh your memory, Adam is in the CG and was enroute from the East Coast to a school in CA when Jacob made his early arrival.

I have one more picture but I can't get it to post so I'll just put Schyler in another post.

Watching the eagles on a Saturday morning!

Good Saturday morning all. I've just been watching an eagle nest located on an island off the coast of southern CA. It's pretty neat to sit here in GA and see them sitting in their nest. One thing to remember is that they are three hours behind us so don't do as I did and check it out early in the morning as you won't see a thing!

Here is the link http://chil.vcoe.org/eagle_cam.htm

Tim I'm not sure how to get it over to the favorite links so I'll let you move it over there.

It's going to be in the early 60's today and sunny so I think that calls for some yard work at least an hour or so. Then maybe I can persuade Papa to take a walk.

We are loving the YMCA. We've gone to two old folks' exercise classes and I've also gone to a Yoga class. It sure made me realize that my balance isn't what it used to be and I've got some work to do on that. While I was in the Yoga class Papa spent the hour using the equipment but I'm pretty sure he spent some of his time oogling the pretty girls (nah - not Papa)!

Speaking of Papa, he has torn his PC down and built it up again. He reported this morning that it's running fine now, just like a new one.

Katie and friends are on their way to Gulf Shores, AL for college spring break.

Lea and Lauren's school is in the final basketball tournament and if they win today, they will head to state. Wish them luck. Josh, if you are reading this, I think they are playing in Marietta this afternoon.

Have a good weekend everyone and I'll talk to you soon.

Love,

Mom
